Here you will find monthly and yearly Canadian and U.S. sales figures for the Volkswagen Beetle. The first generation VW New Beetle was sold from 1998-2010, the second generation, sold from 2011 onwards, was called just VW Beetle. These statistics include sales of both generations. Sales of the Beetle Convertible have been very stable from its launch in 2013 to 2017, while sales of the Beetle Coupe have fallen sharply since (see table below).

Volkswagen Beetle Overview

The modern version of the Volkswagen Beetle was introduced in 1998. It was based on the Volkswagen Golf, but it had a more retro design that was inspired by the original Beetle. The modern Beetle was powered by a variety of engines, including a 1.9-liter diesel engine, a 2.0-liter gasoline engine, and a 2.5-liter gasoline engine. It was available with a choice of manual or automatic transmissions. The modern Beetle was available in two body styles: a coupe and a convertible. It was also available in a variety of trim levels, including the base Beetle, the Sport Beetle, and the New Beetle Turbo.

The modern Beetle was a popular car and it was sold in many countries around the world. However, it was discontinued in 2019. The modern Beetle was not available in the United States due to declining sales.

The last Volkswagen Beetle rolled off the assembly line in Puebla, Mexico on July 10, 2019. The final car was a 2019 Final Edition model painted in white and equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. The demise of the Beetle was due to a number of factors, including declining sales, the rise of SUVs and crossovers, and the increasing popularity of electric vehicles.
