As pickup truck sales jumped 18% in December 2014 to nearly 240,000 units, full-size nameplates owned 88.9% of the overall truck category. Indeed, with 211,238 full-size sales in December of this year, the core six full-size nameplates sold more often than all pickup trucks did at this time a year ago.

Despite the Ford F-Series’ predictable decline (slight, at just -0.3%), full-size sales jumped by 30,522 units thanks to huge increases from the Silverado, Ram, and Sierra. GM’s twins outsold the F-Series by 6918 units.
