The Top-Selling Vehicles in the U.S Automotive Market for 2017

The best-selling vehicles in the United States in 2017 included some very familiar names, including the Ford F-Series, Chevrolet Silverado, Ram Pickup, Toyota RAV4, Nissan Rogue, Toyota Camry, Honda CR-V, Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla and Honda Accord. Once again, pickup trucks remained the most popular vehicle segment in the U.S. in 2017, with the Ford F-Series and Chevrolet Silverado leading the way. However, crossover SUVs also continued to grow in popularity, with the Toyota RAV4 and Nissan Rogue making the top 5 list for the first time.

Reflecting the growing popularity of compact SUVs, the RAV4 surged in sales to become the best-selling non-truck vehicle in the U.S. for the year. Another compact SUV, the Rogue, witnessed a strong sales performance, emphasizing the shift towards SUVs and crossovers. Consistent with the SUV trend, the CR-V remained a top choice among consumers. Ford’s compact SUV echoed the market’s preference for versatile and spacious vehicles.
