Subaru Tribeca Sales Figures

Subaru Tribeca

The Subaru Tribeca was a mid-size crossover SUV produced by Subaru. Named after the TriBeCa neighborhood in New York City, it was manufactured from 2005 to 2014. The Tribeca was Subaru’s first attempt at a three-row SUV, aiming to cater to families needing more seating capacity.

Subaru Tribeca Overview

The Tribeca was initially launched in 2005 and was recognized for its unconventional front-end styling, which drew mixed reviews. Underneath its unique exterior, the Tribeca offered seating for up to seven passengers. The first generation came with a 3.0-liter flat-six engine coupled to a five-speed automatic transmission, with Subaru’s signature Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive as standard.

In 2008, the Tribeca received a significant facelift, which included a more traditional and widely accepted exterior design. The 3.0-liter engine was replaced by a more powerful 3.6-liter flat-six engine, still paired with a five-speed automatic transmission. The Tribeca was discontinued after the 2014 model year due to slow sales. It was succeeded by the Subaru Ascent in 2018, a larger three-row SUV that addressed many of the shortcomings of the Tribeca.

Here you will find monthly and yearly Canadian, European and U.S. sales figures for the Subaru Tribeca. The Tribeca faced a tough market, competing with well-established mid-size SUVs. The initial design was polarizing, and although the later models corrected this with more conservative styling, the Tribeca never achieved significant sales success. Some criticisms included the cramped third-row seating and less cargo space compared to competitors.
