Subaru Solterra Overview
The Subaru Solterra is an all-electric SUV that was first introduced in 2022. It is the first all-electric vehicle from Subaru and is co-developed with Toyota, which also has a similar model called the bZ4X. The Solterra is powered by a dual-motor all-wheel drive system that produces 215 horsepower and 249 lb-ft of torque. It has a 72.8-kWh battery pack that provides an EPA-estimated range of 222-228 miles.
The Solterra is available in two trim levels: Premium and Limited. The Premium trim comes standard with features like a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 6-speaker sound system, and a rearview camera. The Limited trim adds features like a power-adjustable driver’s seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, a 10-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, and a panoramic sunroof.
The Solterra has been praised for its handling, performance, and spacious interior. It has also been awarded several awards, including the 2023 Top Safety Pick+ from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
