The Opel / Vauxhall Insignia was introduced in 2008 to replace both the Opel / Vauxhall Vectra and the Opel / Vauxhall Signum. The Opel Insignia is a mid-size car produced by the German automobile manufacturer Opel since 2008. It has been produced in two generations, with the current generation being launched in 2017.

The Insignia is available with a choice of petrol, diesel, and hybrid engines. Petrol engines include a 1.5-liter engine that produces 140 horsepower, a 2.0-liter engine that produces 170 horsepower, and a 2.0-liter engine that produces 200 horsepower. Diesel engines include a 1.6-liter engine that produces 110 horsepower and a 2.0-liter engine that produces 170 horsepower. The hybrid Insignia is powered by a 1.6-liter petrol engine and an electric motor and has a total power output of 225 horsepower.
