The GAC-Mitsubishi Eupheme is an interesting vehicle as it is one of many versions of the GAC Trumpchi GS4 New Energy which are sold under various brands but all built by Guangzhou Automobile Group Co. For example, the GAC-Toyota ix4 EV is the exact same vehicle, and versions by Honda and Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles will follow soon with hybrid versions of their own. The reason for this unique strategy is that this helps these companies meet China’s new and stricter emissions standards more quickly, giving them time to keep working on their own unique electric models.

Each brand has its own name emblazoned at the rear of the vehicle, but the GAC logo is in the grille and the looks are basically the same with only minor differences between them. The Eupheme is the only one available in both EV and PHEV versions.
