The Chevrolet Bolt is an all-electric hatchback that was first introduced in 2017. It is one of the most affordable electric cars on the market, and it offers a range of up to 259 miles on a single charge. The Bolt is powered by a single electric motor that produces 200 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque. It is mated to a single-speed automatic transmission. The Bolt is available with front-wheel drive only.

Chevrolet Bolt Sales Figures
The Chevrolet Bolt has been praised for its contribution to the mainstream adoption of electric vehicles. Its combination of practical range, accessible pricing, and everyday usability made it an appealing option for those looking to transition from traditional internal combustion engines. However, it has faced some criticisms, including some related to interior material quality and comfort, particularly in comparison to some newer competitors. The vehicle also faced recall issues related to battery problems, which General Motors actively addressed. This combined with the Tesla 3s success hurt its sales volumes.
