BAIC Beijing Senova D20 EV Sales Data & Trends
Senova is a sub-brand of BAIC (Beijing Auto Works), which was established in 2012. Its initial vehicles were developed on the platforms of the bankrupt Swedish brand Saab, of which BAIC bought the intellectual property rights and powertrain technologies at the end of 2009. Thanks to BAIC’s ties with Daimler, the Senova D20 takes styling cues from the first-generation Mercedes-Benz B-Class and uses the platform from the 2004-2007 Smart Forfour / 2004-2013 Mitsubishi Colt. The Senova D20 EV replaced the Beijing E-series EV in 2017. The gasoline powered E-series had already been renamed Senova D20 in 2015.
